We’re always on the lookout for great seasonal trends and ideas, especially when the Christmas party season starts. As we’re officially able to say it’s Christmas time, we think now is the perfect time to start sharing our favourite looks and ideas to get you from Christmas Jumper Day in the office to Festive Drinks at night.
We’re not talking cute or bright colours, this is a deep, delicious and smouldering shade, like a nice glass of merlot. It’s a classic; red lips have long been the number one way to stay looking on-trend and sophisticated in the winter season. The great news is, when you’re in a hurry, a slick of red on the lips is the only make-up you need to wear!
Copper, Chocolate & Honey Hues
We see it every year, lustrous, shiny hair with deep and rich tones; copper, russet, chocolate, warm vanilla...is anyone else hungry?
Soft Smokey Eye - known as the ‘Miami Tran’ more muted than your regular smokey eye using mauve and taupes to create a more natural look
Volume is the key, luxurious curls and waves are key this season. Creating texture with romantic curls swept over to one side to create height and to frame the face. The trend has also been seen on the catwalk and, due to countless celebrities adopting the trend, also on the ‘sidewalk’. The look also looks extremely pretty in a ponytail for an alternative, on-trend Christmas party look.
Top tips for shimmering hair at home
Coconut Oil Treatment - coconut is known for it’s moisturising properties and is a great treatment for thirsty hair. Smooth the oil through your hair and wrap it in a towel for as long as you can, then wash out.
Beware of over-styling/heat - be sure to allow your hair time to recover from heat as due to the extreme change in temperature outside this can make hair brittle and easy to break
Vitamin B is essential for hair health - eating foods rich in this is the best way to achieve great hair quality such as; peas, beans, carrots, nuts and avocado - they’re also very good for skin health too, bonus!
Wear a hat while you’re outside to stop the cold weather from attacking your hair; drying it out and making it weak!
