Soccer Style: 7 most stylish players on and off the pitch

Naz has become an expert during his many years in the business,

and he now runs the hugely successful

Naz Zeneldeen Gentlemen’s Grooming Club in Fulham.

We all know top footballers earn millions but – let’s be honest – not many of them look a million dollars. OK, there’s David Beckham, but let’s take a peek at seven other (slightly) less well known players who also cut the mustard off the pitch…

Graziano Pelle

And we have to kick off with Southampton striker Graziano Pelle. He certainly knows how to keep himself groomed (he’s particularly picky about his hair, according to his stylist Kerri Beale). He has great fashion sense too, and never does scruffy. In fact, if he ever hangs up the football boots he could always audition as the next James Bond.

Daley Blind

Here Daley Blind is wearing even more black than Graziano Pelle. While his girlfriend shows off some white shoes, Daley wears head-to-toe noir. Just managing to avoid a street-goth look, he gets it right with this casual combo (baseball cap, leather-panelled hoodie, simple tee, coated jeans and Yeezy Boosts).

Hector Bellerin

The speedy right-back Hector Bellerin was snapped here dressed down in a timeless outfit: smart grey trousers, an Oxford shirt and a navy cable-knit sweater. And just to give a little twist to a classic look, he sports a nice pair of green suede plimsolls – sans socks, of course!

Andrea Pirlo

From a youngster to an oldster – at least in footballing terms. At 36, Andrea Pirlo challenges fellow-Italian Graziano Pelle for the Number Uno position as soccer’s suavest man. Just look at his “sprezzatura” (studied carelessness) as he saunters across a busy Manhattan street, dressed in a great smart/casual combo: navy sweatshirt, light blue shirt, ecru cropped trousers, and brown suede desert boots. Perfetto!

Jerome Boateng

Less classic, more casual, here we have centre-back Jerome Boateng – all 6' 3" of him. Note his use of khaki – a trending colour right now – broken up with some black, plus that flash of bright orange from a natty pair of high-top trainers. Goal!

Aaron Ramsey

Another colourful pair of shoes. Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey pairs his mid-wash, skinny jeans with red sneakers – perhaps out of respect for his club’s colour. The Welsh midfielder kept it simple on this night out, finishing his outfit with a black, long-sleeved, knitted top.

Vincent Kompany

The Man City captain Vincent Kompany gets it in the back of the net with this symphony in monochrome, pulling off the simple outfit with effortless panache. How we wish more players had his style…
